Today, Meta’s WhatsApp has rolled out a new feature called Group Message History. It is designed to help users get up to speed with group chat conversations more privately and efficiently, as well as aiming to make it easier for users to re-enter group chats after they’ve been away without overwhelming them with long chat histories.

As WhatsApp continues to add on new features and support for the app and website, it seems that they have sneakily added a new Mute option into our apps and web browser without us knowing. This was confirmed on the WhatsApp's official Twitter.

We have seen the news about a future WhatsApp update that could allow multiple devices to access one account. Although it is unsure whether it will allow us to use the account on other devices without our phones being online, it is still a good update for those who are constantly switching between devices. Now, it appears that the messaging app will bring another update that some of us have been longing for which is to mute a group chat forever.
