Today, smartphone brand honor has announced a new global social contest with the recent released of the honor 8X. Called as the #CheerForHonor8X contest, everyone in the world can participate and the grand prize is a good one - a free honor Magic 2 will be given away!

The honor 8X has been selling like hot cakes during the weekend (12 -14 October 2018) and in conjunction with that, the honor Band 3 is now available in Malaysia for RM119 only and it can be purchased on hihonor.com/my. The new smartband was also announced alongside the honor 8X last week and features quite a few nice functions that are meant for those who want to keep track of their daily activities, especially in sports.

With today's first special online sale by honor Malaysia, the honor 8X sold out in just 20 minutes on both hihonor and Shopee platforms when it started at 9AM. According to the company, they have sold over more than a 1000 units and considering the unbelievable price of RM949, we can't say that we are surprised by the result.

We know most of you are X-cited about the newly announced honor 8X just this week for an amazing price of RM949. From our coverage, we also mentioned that the new mid-range device will have a special roadshow this weekend (13 and 14 October 2018) at various places, as well as the special online sale which will start on 12 October 2018!

Today, honor 8X has made its way into the Malaysia market and coming in 4GB + 128GB (blue and black, no red yet) variant, the price of the newest mid-range device is RM949 and it will be available at its online store and Shopee today (9 October 2018). However, those who purchase it on the first special online sales on 12 October 2018 will receive a complimentary flipcase, gift box and a RM 100 voucher.

 With the honor 8X launch tomorrow in Malaysia, honor Malaysia is bringing back Malaysian rapper and official brand ambassador, SonaOne to the stage, as he will be performing live and fans will be able to catch him via live stream.

So as some of you already guessed, the honor 8X will be coming soon to Malaysia on 9 October 2018 but that's not the only news that honor Malaysia is announcing, it turns out that our local Malaysian comedian, television host, actor and singer, Zizan Razak will be the official ambassador for the honor 8X!

Just a few hours ago, honor Malaysia has posted a teaser on its official Facebook page about its new smartphone coming soon on 9 October 2018. Without giving away the actual name of the device, it's quite obvious that the company will be unveiling the honor 8X which was recently revealed in China.

Exclusively revealed in China, honor has presented not one but two new smartphones which are the honor 8X and 8X Max. Most of the rumoured tech-specs also matched the official listing, such as the Kirin 710 making its first appearance, a humongous 7.12-inch display and 5000mAh battery.

So it's official, the honor 8X was just confirmed by honor and we just got new information on the tech-specs. According to the new information by TENAA, the honor 8X will be honor's biggest display ever. How big? Well, it's not 6-inch, but a humongous 7.12-inch display.
