The Ministry of Communications and Digital (KKD) today officially launched the PAKEJ PERPADUAN prepaid mobile internet plan. First announced in December last year, the package is available from now until 31 December 2023 and offers 30GB of data at 3Mbps speed, with a validity period of 180 days for just RM30.

Hotlink Postpaid 30 has been around for some time but it's not the one getting the upgrades. Instead, Maxis is throwing in an extra 10GB of mobile data for both Hotlink Postpaid 60 and Hotlink Postpaid 40. 

Today, Maxis has launched an all-new Hotlink app and to celebrate this occasion, both Hotlink prepaid and postpaid users will have some sweet free Raya deals. The promotion will end on 7 May with prizes worth up to RM100,000. 

In the upcoming Merdeka, Hotlink by Maxis will be offering some attractive vouchers, prizes and smartphone redemption to the customers. Under the campaign “Bikin Selalu, Hotlink App Dulu”, Hotlink subscribers will just need to reload their credit or purchase e-vouchers on the Hotlink app to participate.

Besides the general inconvenience, the global pandemic-induced movement control order (MCO) has had severe economical effects. That's why some companies are looking for ways to "balance the books", so to say. One of them would be Maxis, which has been throttling the Internet speed for some of its Hotlink users.

In conjunction with the upcoming Chinese New Year, Maxis is throwing a social media activity for all Malaysians. Today, Maxis has announced a new partnership with Lazada Malaysia and even made an official online store! A collaboration for the 11.11 sale tomorrow, both Maxis and Hotlink users will be the only telco customers in Malaysia who can grab some Lazada deals directly from their Maxis, Hotlink prepaid and Hotlink postpaid apps. Here's how it works. 

Not clarifying terms and conditions for any product or service is often a bad move, as Maxis found out recently. The company launched its Hotlink Prepaid Unlimited pack a few days ago, promising unlimited internet access and calls. But as it turned out, it does have a certain limitation and many users were unhappy with the lack of transparency.

Before we hit the weekend, Maxis just dropped a silent short announcement on their Maxis app that they will be offering free data to all their customers (postpaid and prepaid). However, there is a catch to this - the free data is mainly for us to stay updated with current COVID-19 news on selected websites.
