Huawei is pretty much known by now to have one of the fastest SuperCharge technologies on the market. It is rumoured that the company is now working on a new type of 20W charger that uses half the amps of the SCP Gen. 2 uses. The new charging standard will be at 10V/2A which may be announced next year. The document below gives us a look at how the new charge protocols might be.

So here are some updates from the IFA 2018 event, besides Huawei introducing the new Kirin 980 chipset, they also won other awards that include the Huawei AI Cube, an AI-powered speaker and 4G router and of course, the aforementioned Kirin 980 which won 7 awards.

Today, Huawei Consumer Business Group has released its Q2 financial results of 2017. According to the report, the sales revenue for the first six months of 2017 increased by 36.2% year-on-year to CNY105.4 billion. Smartphone shipments also rose to 73.01 million, a year-on-year increase of 20.6%.

As we enter the second quarter of the year, Huawei Consumer Business Group has released their Q1 2017 Business Performace report. According to IDC, they have managed to shipped an astounding 34.55 million smartphones. Resulting the company’s global smartphone market share to further increased to 9.8%, consolidating its position in the top three smartphone vendors in the world.

As reported in the Huawei Global Connectivity Index (GCI) 2017, the fourth annual study shows in the 50 countries that were analyzed, Malaysia climbed five positions in the ranks due to the government’s aggressive investment to improve its international bandwidth, 4G coverage and Cloud over the past three years.
