So apparently, Huawei Malaysia has been doing a Battery Replacement Event for quite some time now. Starting from 8 April, the event will end on 7 May 2019 and no matter which Huawei smartphone model it is, it only cost RM99 which is a deal breaker.

While GPU Turbo has arrived for the Honor Play, a new schedule has appeared indicating that the Huawei P20, Huawei P20 Pro, Huawei Mate 10, Huawei Mate 10 Pro, Huawei Nova 3 and Huawei Nova 3i could be getting their GPU Turbo updates in August 2018. In addition, the schedule also indicates that GPU Turbo will also support both PUBG Mobile and Mobile Legends for more stable and smoother graphics performance.

Initially, rumours mentioned that Fortnite Mobile was so late to the party because it would be exclusively for the Samsung Galaxy Note 9, but now the beta is out and owners of Samsung Galaxy flagships including the S7, S7 Edge, S8, S8+, S9, S9+, Note 8, Note 9, Tab S3 and Tab S4 can install it. It is still semi-exclusive in that you can only download the installer app from the Samsung Galaxy Apps for now, but Note 9 users will also get 15000 V-Bucks, a special Galaxy skin and access to more in-game content.

OpenKirin is a project to bring stock Android ROMs as well as other ROMs such as the LineageOS, Resurrection Remix OS, and CarbonOS into the Huawei and Honor ecosystem. As for now, the project currently supports 17 phones and tablets that are running the EMUI 8, notably the Huawei Mate 10, Huawei Mate 10 Pro and the Honor View 10. Unfortunately the project only lasts until 22 July 2018 so be quick if you’re interested in flashing your EMUI devices. After the announcement of Huawei's GPU Turbo, slides from mydrivers have appeared indicating that the first Huawei smartphone to get the GPU boosting technology may be the Huawei Mate 10 series on top of other updates. As a refresher, GPU Turbo increases the efficiency of the GPU coupled together with EMUI to help make the overall device 60% more efficient and reduce power consumption by up to 30% as well.
