Yes, the trade war is still on-going which unfortunately placed Huawei in an awkward situation. Starting from the Mate 30 series onward, they won't be able to use any Google mobile services (GMS) but according to new insights from Fred Wangfei, a Huawei executive, he said that the company probably won't return to using GMS even if the ban is lifted by the US government.

Just in case you missed it, Huawei Malaysia has just recently started their Service Annual Giving Season over the weekend and it will end on 1 January 2020. From their Facebook page, the company will be giving out a complimentary screen protector and application, along with a gift after a completed repair. On the repair, there is also a 20% discount on spare parts.

Initially when Huawei when released the Mate 30 series in Malaysia, the only way to get either the Mate 30 or the Mate 30 Pro for RM2799 and RM3899 respectively was via the referral code programme. That all changed a few days ago, now anyone could get the aforementioned products without a referral code for the same price.

Initially, when the Huawei Mate 30 series was first available in Malaysia it was only available to only customers who have owned the previous generation Huawei Mate devices. With that said, Huawei has recently announced that their Huawei Mate 30 series, as well as the Huawei Matebook 13, Huawei WiFi Q2 Pro, Huawei Watch GT2, Huawei FreeBuds 3 and the Huawei X Gentle Monster Eyewear will be officially available in Malaysia from 15 November 2019 onwards.
