So apparently, Huawei CEO and founder, Ren Zhengfei had an interview with CNN Business. Obviously, one of the questions would be the Google Mobile Services and in a bold statement, Ren replied confidently that Huawei can still become the world's number one smartphone brand without Google's software and application. 

It's been a tough few months for Huawei getting caught in the trade war, but here's some good news for the China tech company. According to sources, they have been granted a license by Microsoft to export their software. This is due to the recent ban lift extension by the US Commerce Department this week, giving them another 90 days.

Recently, U Mobile, as well as Huawei Malaysia, have recently signed a “Letter of Intent” to collaborate and work on the 5G network in Malaysia. Not only that, but both the entities also plan on running 5G tests in Malaysia as well to work out the kinks to ensure that our infrastructure is ready for the new network. 

Huawei has announced that the Huawei Watch GT 2 46mm variant will be available from today onwards at all Huawei Stores across Malaysia. Huawei has also stated that if you were to purchase the smartwatch which is currently priced at RM799, they will also throw in a Watch GT 2 Strap which is worth RM69 for free.

In a move to make more revenue, Huawei has been reported to be selling its chipsets to 3rd parties which include competitor smartphone companies. The first chip that may be sold to the open market is their HiSilicon Balong 711 chipset. 

There’s another great news for Huawei Fans today because Huawei has just officially released its latest EMUI 10 OS upgrade plan! While the new upgrade was first pre-installed in the Mate 30 series, there will be a total of 33 models scheduled to be upgraded next in line from October to December.

Earlier today, HONOR gave us a live demo of the HONOR Vision Pro Smart TV which is the very first product by HONOR to come equipped with the HarmonyOS. While the aforementioned Smart TV is not currently available in Malaysia, HONOR has assured us that we should be able to get it for ourselves eventually.

Huawei has announced today that have introduced several new features on the Huawei Assistant platform such as the ‘News’, ‘Global Search’, ‘Instant Access’ as well as SmartCare. The features mentioned, will be available on Huawei or HONOR device running EMUI 8.1 or higher.
