While having WiFi is important to keep most devices connected to the internet, it can drain the battery of any devices that is connected to the local network. A new study and research from University of Washington may solve that problem however, as they have developed a new WiFi system dubbed Passive WiFi, which consumes about 10,000 times less power than conventional systems.
