The Italian Competition Authority (AGCM) has fined Apple €10 million (~RM48.7 million) for misleading water-resistance claims in their ad. The regulator said the company was not being clear enough about these claims. These claims can only be done in certain circumstances, such as controlled lab tests with pure water.

More and more devices are ditching rear mounted fingerprint scanners and opting for in-display readers. Apple looks like it may be hopping onto the bandwagon soon with the iPhone XI but it will be a little more interesting than other device’s fingerprint readers. The new technology is called “acoustic imaging”.

DxOMark, a company that tests out camera capabilities extensively, the device fares pretty decently, scoring a score of 89 with 90 points in photo and 88 in video.

Apple is facing lawsuits after some users found that their devices were rejecting their older iPhone chargers which was filed last Monday in California. The lawsuit claims that thousands were facing the issue after an update stopped their phones from recognizing the older chargers.

Apple recently updated their rules on the “Shot on iPhone” contest stating that “winners will receive a licensing fee for use on billboards and other Apple marketing channels”. The changes in the competition rules were a reaction to a previous complaint made on Twitter, in regards to the unfair usage of the picture submissions.

2019 may be the year of change for Apple. Apple’s infamous lightning cable for the 2019 iPhones may be replaced with the USB-C just like the latest iPad Pro. Big wow, amirite? It may be a move by Apple to slowly expand their ecosystem to be more inclusive which is definitely a welcome move.
