As we still have a long way to go to 5G connectivity, Deputy Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Zahidi Zainul Abidin just recently announced that the government is preparing at least 500 new communication towers across the nation to strengthen 4G connectivity instead. He also said that this initiative is to provide wider and better quality coverage.

Digi has officially announced the Digi Internet Freedom which bundles both Digi Postpaid Plan, as well as Home Fibre for a lower price start from as RM130 a month, not including the postpaid plan. In addition to that, depending on which Internet Freedom package you pick, you could get discounts on your postpaid plan by up to 20%.

Telekom Malaysia has recently released a statement on their Facebook page, stating that users in Penang might experience internet disruption due to a node catching on fire at 12:07 AM. But that’s not all, TM also stated that mobile connectivity may be affected due to the fact that the aforementioned node functions as a backhaul for third-party mobile networks.

Based on a blog entry posted on the Chromium Blog, Google will remove ads that hogs too much of the device’s system resource, making the user experience much more enjoyable especially for those with limited internet data. This is due to the fact that Google recently discovered that some of the ads use up much more battery and bandwidth than usual, which can be a problem especially for those who signed up with telco that provides very limited internet data.

A few days ago, unifi users experienced some slow Internet speed due to the damaged APCN-2 submarine cable system undersea. With this, Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) sent out a team to do some maintenance work on 17th until 21st of April. As per schedule, TM is pleased to announce the maintenance work has been completed.
