Yup, you read that right. Google may have to pay up to $5 billion over a lawsuit for alleging collecting data on users when they surf on incognito mode. The lawsuit was filed back in June for violating the privacy laws and a federal judge just recently denied Google's request for dismissal of the lawsuit. 

Although some games are labelled free-to-play in the app stores, they will still be offering in-app purchases for users to enjoy extra benefits. Earlier this week, Apple had faced a lawsuit filed by a woman who overspent in a gambling game called "Jackpot Mania". The lawsuit claims that Apple “promotes, enables, and profits” from gambling games on the App Store.

Based on a statement by nytimes.com, it seems that Google was hit with a class-action lawsuit demanding more than USD 5 billion (~RM21.4 billion) in compensation. This is due to the fact that allegations were thrown at Google for tracking users, even while they are using incognito mode.

Nowadays, people would normally get a new smartphone after one or two years, as the smartphone industry is ever-changing at a really fast pace. With that being said, consumers are willing to whip their money out to get a piece of new technology just to follow the trend. However, there are also certain users who will never change their smartphones until they are shattered into broken pieces. Recently, Apple, a tech giant, has admitted that they are slowing older models of iPhone, after the company was being sued by the affected users.

Apple and Qualcomm have finally reached a settlement, and they will no longer be continuing the back and forth lawsuit between these two parties. In light of that, Qualcomm will once again be supplying components to Apple in which they will be using for their upcoming devices.
