Update - The COVID-19 Information Centre has rolled out to Malaysia!

While businesses are either closing temporarily or minimizing human contact with "Contactless Delivery", Facebook has announced a new Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information Centre on their mobile app. The new update will take some time to roll out, but here's what we know about the feature so far.

MyEG recently released a statement which was spotted on the Friends of MyEG Facebook page, stating that the COVID-19 rapid test kits that they’re offering on their official website are not fake and it's currently pending on approval from the Ministry of Health. Due to the Movement Restriction Order, Astro has officially announced that they will be offering free movie channels for all Astro customers from now until 31 March 2020 at 11:59PM. All these movie channels will also be available for viewing on the Astro Go app which can be downloaded from the Google Play Store or the iOS App Store.

Based on an official statement by Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin, Malaysia will go under movement controls or restrictions from 18 March until 31 March 2020 due to COVID-19. This is largely due to the rise in numbers of cases in the past few weeks globally and the recent mass gatherings locally.
