Based on a statement by asia.nikkei.com, it seems that Apple has started shifting their manufacturing operations to countries such as Vietnam, India, and Malaysia in order to reduce their dependency on China. The report also mentioned that Vietnam will focus on iPad production starting from the middle this year while Malaysia will manufacture the Mac Mini.

Previously, we got news about Apple collaborating with Hyundai to manufacture an electric car. There wasn't much news after that but it seems that sources have confirmed that the two companies will be partners. They will sign a new partnership deal by March and start manufacturing in 2024.

Based on a statement by gizchina, it seems that TSMC will start production of 3nm chips starting from 2022 onwards. While not much is known in regards to which smartphone will come equipped with the new chips, we do know that the new chips will not only provide more power but also higher efficiency.

As you know, electronics require microchips. TSMC has been a leader in this area has kept ahead of rival Samsung for the past few years. Although Samsung could be ready for the transition to 3nm soon, it looks like major companies like Apple may still choose TSMC for 3nm and even 2nm chips.

Based on a statement by TSMC, it seems that they are currently working on 5nm and 6nm process which will not only increase the performance of the chipset, but also make it much more energy-efficient. But that’s not all, they’ve also confirmed that 3nm and 4nm manufacturing process is currently in development and it is expected to enter mass production somewhere around the year 2022.
