From the recent Level Up Play event that happened during the weekend, there was a special PUBG Mobile presentation which was organized by the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC). Sponsored by vivo Malaysia, the announcement was about the PUBG MOBILE Club Open (PMCO) 2019 Fall Split Global Finals. There will be a total prize pool of USD 2.5 million (~RM10,360,000).

On 18 November 2016, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) and UOA Holdings Sdn. Bhd. (UOA Holdings). This MoU signals the two companies to cooperate in joint efforts to set up a Game Hub in Bangsar South with the mutual objective of enhancing Malaysia’s game industry.
