The 8th vivo V Fans Event continues its run in Malaysia for vivo mobile photography fans until 10 June 2023, offering photography tips and tricks and contests. This time around it will be at the Maxis Centre Plaza Merdeka Kuching on 2 June 2023. The workshop will have Afdhol and Sotla on hand to provide mobile photography tips for vivo V series users.

OPPO have recently announced the start of their IF Photography Awards 2023 mobile photography competition for OPPO and OnePlus users. Featuring a Golden Award prize of 160000 CNY (~RM103118), participation in the Hasselblad Image Training Camp and international photo exhibition opportunities it offers the highest value of prizes for a mobile photography contest yet.

Over the years, an increasing number of people are relying on smartphones for casual photography. Mobile image sensors have improved so much, causing a decline in the use of compact cams. Now, Sony wants to improve it further with its new image sensor tech.

It's hard to see completely new features being added to smartphones these days. Like it or not, most companies are just pushing for higher numbers to try to impress us. That's the same for the mobile photography space, with sources claiming that Samsung will have a 200MP camera sensor in 2021.
