Today, The Edge reported that U Mobile has agreed to sell its entire 100,000 shares in Digital Nasional Bhd (DNB) for RM100,000. The shares will be acquired by CelcomDigi, Maxis, YTL Power International, and the Minister of Finance Inc (MOF Inc), according to filings with Bursa Malaysia.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by YB Datuk Fahmi Fadzil, Communications Minister of Malaysia, and Li Lecheng, Party Secretary of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China, at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC).

TM announces that it has restored 85% of flood-impacted services. After the successful restoration of the core services, 84,274 affected customers can now be online again. If you recall, our Prime Minister Muhyiddin announced that 5G connectivity will be ready by the end of 2021. While the tech community are taking it with a dose of salt, it is quite evident that 3G is phasing out as both Celcom and unifi will shut it down gradually. That said, there are still plenty of 3G-only users especially in the rural areas of Malaysia.

It seems that a report by globaltimes.cn, it seems that Huawei is keen on launching a test satellite somewhere around July 2021 in order to perform 6G technology verification. With that in mind, Huawei plans to launch its 6G network somewhere around 2030 which was reported to be around 50 times faster than 5G.
