Today, OPPO Malaysia has finally unveiled the much teased OPPO F9. Available in all three colours with unique diamond-cut back design - Starry Purple, Twilight Blue and Sunrise Red for RM1399. The device is available for pre-order at all OPPO concept stores, online store such as Lazada, Shopee and 11street, as well as Celcom Blue Cube, Senheng and senQ. The device will be available for shipment and collection starting 30 August 2018.

It's almost here, folks. The OPPO F9 will be unveiled soon this week and while we do know some tidbits about it such as the new Waterdrop notch design, a 16MP + 2MP dual rear camera, a diamond cut back-look and more. Aside from that, OPPO Malaysia is also letting us know about the new ColorOS 5.2 update and it will have several new features.

OPPO has given us an opportunity to check out the OPPO F9 and the looks and design of the phone. Based on the early preview, the OPPO F9 will have a Waterdrop Screen notch at the top of the display, a diamond shaped gradient colour design and it will support VOOC Charging technology with 5V/4A power delivery which is presently available in most OPPO’s more expensive smartphones. In terms of colour choices, the OPPO F9 will be available in Sunrise Red and Midnight Blue.

As OPPO gears up to reveal their OPPO F9 series here in Malaysia (expected to be next week), OPPO have released a teaser video for the OPPO F9 Pro. While it showcases the VOOC fast charging feature, which supposedly can get 2 hours talk time with a 5 minute charge, it also shows off the “Gradient” backside and “Waterdrop screen” on the front.

OPPO will be unveiling the OPPO F9 on 16 August 2018 and it will be the first device in the F-series to feature a dual camera setup in the rear, allowing it to take stunning portrait images similar to that of the R-series as well as the Find series. Not only that, the device will also come with a Waterdrop Screen design which is significantly smaller than most of the smartphones with notches out today.

OPPO has recently announced that the upcoming OPPO F9 will officially support VOOC Flash Charging Technology. To give a little more information regarding the technology mentioned, VOOC Flash Charging Technology is owned by OPPO which increases safety while charging with its 5 layer protection built into the charging adapter that provides low temperature and voltage to prevent the device from overheating. Not only that, with 5V/4A it dramatically increases the charging speed of the device to the point where the user is able to have up to 2 hours of talk time with only 5 minutes of charging.

If you are already following OPPO Malaysia Facebook page, chances are you have already seen their OPPO F9 teaser images about the Sunrise Red, Twilight Blue and Starry Purple with a unique flower petal pattern designed known as the diamond cut, which is the first for the F-series.

It was only recently that OPPO Malaysia has been teasing us about the OPPO F9, but did you know that there's also an OPPO F9 Pro? Discovered in a wonderful place called the Internet, the F9 Pro tech-specs were leaked online but there's no sign of how it looks like, but we can assume that it should look more or less the same as the F9 with that Waterdrop notch design.

In another teaser leading up to the OPPO F9 release, OPPO Malaysia has sent us another one and while it's nothing much, the F9 will have a special gradient colour design that consists diamond cut shapes from the rear to the side body frame in Sunrise Red.
