As teased before, Ryt Bank finally announced a major upgrade to its payment ecosystem, enabling customers to use Ryt PayLater directly through the Ryt Card for both local and global transactions. The move extends PayLater functionality beyond QR payments, giving users the flexibility to choose between paying immediately or spreading payments over time across more scenarios.

Recently, Nor Rafidz Nazri of Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) announced that a special body to oversee entities engaged in providing Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) would be set up while the Consumer Credit Act (CCA) would impose tighter regulations on BNPL credit providers. Major online BNPL players that were named included Shopee, Grab and Atome as they make up 97% of BNPL providers in Malaysia.

“Makan kat mana?” “Where to eat? “ What to eat?”. If you happened to be a Malaysian, then these questions might have become the norm. Thankfully, those dilemmas could end soon thanks to the latest innovation by GrabFood.

Grab has announced PayLater payment option which is a new feature that lets you pay all your grab bills at once from rides, GrabFood deliveries and more at the start of next month. While this feature is only available to selected Grab users, Grab plans to open up to feature to more users depending on several eligibility factors such as GrabReward tier, account age, and how many rides you have taken.
