There's going to be a string of public holidays in Malaysia soon with Hari Raya Aidiladha or Raya Haji, Wesak and the Yang di-Pertuan Agong’s birthday just around the corner. Many Malaysians are expected to Balik Kampung soon. PLUS Malaysia Berhad have announced the peak traffic dates to watch: 22, 23, 26, 28, 29, 30 and 31 May 2026 for those leaving the Klang Valley and 4, 5, 6 and 7 June 2026 for those returning.

With CNY just around the corner, many are once more planning their balik kampung drive. As usual, we can expect massive congestion on major highways like PLUS Highway. Fortunately, the Lembaga Lebuhraya Malaysia plans to ease the burden this year.

Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) has announced that it will be building electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure in various spot along the North-South Expressway as part of its collaboration with PLUS Malaysia Bhd. Accordingly, the utility firm is investing RM90 million over the next 3 years to support the EV ecosystem.
