In this latest news, there seems to be a stumbling block for Digital Nasional Berhad (DNB). According to sources, our Communications and Multimedia Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa just stated that the government may have second thoughts about its current 5G wholesale model plan.

Not only is December the Christmas season but it's also the month where we expect 5G to be launched by the Malaysian government. Digital Nasional Berhad is responsible for rollout the technology soon and the latest news has it that the commercial release date is 15 December 2021.

In late November, the government has actively been discussing 5G implementation. Telco companies will inevitably be heavily involved in the testing phase that's starting soon. And as expected, Telekom Malaysia (TM) is among the group.

As some of you already know, the Jaringan Prihatin Programme has already begun on 5 May and all the telco brands have already started to launch their own plans for the Rakyat. We have posted some news from YES 4G not too long ago but more telco brands are releasing theirs. With this, we figured that we will just make a compilation of all the Prihatin packages.

Today, Celcom just announced an all-new convergence plan called Celcom MAX. It's a new hybrid data plan which combines both home and mobile Internet services, allowing customers to utilize the current digital lifestyle during the pandemic in terms of learning, working and playing from home. 

In conjunction with the upcoming Chinese New Year, Maxis is throwing a social media activity for all Malaysians. Now it's possible for you to get up to a 65-inch Samsung 4K TV at the price of RM1 a month when you sign up for a Maxis Fibre and Postpaid plan, starting from today onwards. Do note that if you’re interested in getting the 65-inch Samsung 4K TV, you’re required to sign up for a Maxis Fibre plan that’s priced at RM219 and above, while signing up for a plan cheaper than the price mentioned will get you a 50-inch Samsung 4K TV instead.

Digi has officially announced the Digi Internet Freedom which bundles both Digi Postpaid Plan, as well as Home Fibre for a lower price start from as RM130 a month, not including the postpaid plan. In addition to that, depending on which Internet Freedom package you pick, you could get discounts on your postpaid plan by up to 20%.

After years of saving, I finally have enough to move out of my parents' house and into a studio apartment I just bought. Not only will I be the man of the house, but I could go out or invite friends over without anyone nagging me.

That might sound nice and all, but it still doesn't change the fact that I'm responsible for paying my own utility bills such as water and electricity. Thankfully, Digi recently unveiled their brand new Digi Fibre Broadband which bundles together postpaid and Digi Fibre home plan into one simple package. (Yay! Fewer bills to pay!)

But that's not all, I heard that the package actually costs less than getting the plans individually, and they also come with free goodies such as up to 24 months of Viu membership when you sign up. Maxis has officially announced that they will be permanently increasing the internet data for all Maxis postpaid plans by up to 300% without increasing the price of the plan. It is best to note that the upgrade will be rolled out from 4 June until 10 June 2020, while those who have received it will be notified via SMS.
