During the long weekend, Proton e.MAS Cars' released a social post about the upcoming e.MAS 5 featuring Y.S Khong, who was a Malaysian Rally champion decades ago. Not only was he promoting the EV, but also indirectly revealed the launch date, which is scheduled on 30 October 2025.

In a milestone move for PRO-NET, the official distributor of Proton e.MAS and smart Malaysia vehicles, the company has officially handed over a fleet of electric vehicles (EVs) to the Ministry of Transport (MOT). The handover, which took place on 26 August, aligns with the national Low Carbon Mobility Blueprint (LCMB) 2021–2030 and reinforces PRO-NET’s role in driving the country’s transition to sustainable transportation.

As the Malaysian government continues to expand EV charging hubs across the country, PRO-NET, an energy subsidiary of PROTON, has officially joined forces with four of the region’s top Charging Point Operators (CPO) Charge+, ChargeSini, RExharge, and Charge N Go, to install EV charging accessibility at residential condominiums.

To celebrate Hari Raya, Proton New Energy Technology (PRO-NET), a subsidiary of PROTON, is offering a special 30% discount on EV charging fees. It will begin from 29 March until 7 April 2025 at over 85% of public charging stations across the nation.

During Proton's presentation on its latest e.MAS EV branding last night, things were going well until a mistake was spotted. In case you haven't seen it yet, the company somehow confused the locations between Sabah and Sarawak on the road map.

In case you missed it, Proton finally unveiled its new EV brand. Promptly called e.MAS (pronounced as the alphabet e combined with the word “mas”), is an acronym that stands for Electrifying Malaysia and also represents the company's aim of electrifying mobility for Malaysians with its new upcoming EV models.

Today, ACO Tech, a company within the PROTON Group unveiled the first automotive digital experience centre, PROTON Digital Xperience (PROTON DX) in Malaysia. Located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur in Quill City Mall, PROTON DX is a centre for car and technology enthusiasts, as well as serving as a platform for Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) education.
