In October, there was a piece of news that Apple could be eyeing a new successor to Tim Cook. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman in his latest newsletter, internal indicators at Apple show “few signs” that Cook is preparing to leave anytime soon, and he may continue leading the company well beyond the next product milestone.

This month, Microsoft has officially retired the once popular internet voice, video and chat service, Skype. The change will affect both free and paid users of Skype, though Skype for Business will remain unaffected.

Will Tim Cook step down as the CEO of Apple? That's not easy to answer unless if Cook gives an official statement. However, he could be planning to stay around for a long time until there is "one more major new product category" by Apple.
