Today, U Mobile has announced a new strategic partnership with VIBE Mobile, further expanding its growing Mobile Virtual Network Operator ecosystem in Malaysia. While Maxis is not in the loop with Digital Nasional Berhad's 5G network, the company has announced that it has expanded its 5G international roaming services to 29 countries. This marks Maxis as the first telco to provide customers with 5G international roaming services in Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and many others.

The Maxis FamilyRoam do not require the customer to sign up for it, they only have to activate it whenever they go abroad to any of the countries mentioned.
