Apple Pay is increasingly appearing a lot more lately. Just last week, users spotted the feature promotion coming soon on Shopee and Maxis, then now it was on Ambank's website. Initially, Ambank did tease Apple Pay a few weeks ago via SMS but now, the web portal that was up had already been taken down.

Yesterday, we reported that Shopee may be adding the option for consumers in Malaysia to make purchases via Apple Pay and now, it looks like the payment method is coming to other merchants too. The latest of which is the telco company Maxis, whereby a placard allegedly on display in one of its centres shows that Apple Pay is now accepted there.

If you were purchasing an item on Shopee today, you may have noticed a new payment method - Apple Pay. Granted, Apple Pay is not official in Malaysia but this is hinting at its arrival. Or at least that's what we think.

We have read and heard much news about fake items on online platforms now and then, but this one really takes the byte (#badumtss). According to Says.com, TikTok user @thesinghspeaks, Bilawal Singh (a computer repair shop owner) shared a video of how a customer of his got scammed by a Shopee vendor selling fake external hard drives.

Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri has announced another initiative under the Tourism Recovery Plan 2022 (PRE2.0), whereby Malaysians can get e-vouchers worth from RM50 to RM100 for booking domestic hotel rooms online. Made in collaboration with Tourism Malaysia, the e-vouchers can be obtained when booking a hotel room through the Shopee application. 

ShopeeFood, Shopee’s online food delivery service today announced it is expanding its operations to East Malaysia, beginning with Sabah. In a statement today, ShopeeFood asserted that its services will be available in various areas around the greater Kota Kinabalu area.

Although it's only a day later after 7.7, many products may have sold out due to the massive discounts on Shopee and Lazada. If you're still looking for some affordable audio products, Edifier still has them and plenty of stocks left. 

ShopeeFood today announced that it will be expanding its services to Penang starting from June 2022. However, the company didn’t specify the exact date for when Penangites can start ordering their favourite food from the app.
