Today, Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) and Astro Malaysia Holdings Berhad’s wholly-owned subsidiary, MEASAT Broadcast Network Systems Sdn Bhd (Astro) just announced a new joint partnership together. This initiative will have both parties deliver a wider broadband coverage and a better digital experience in Malaysia. This will be in line with the Jalinan Digital Negara (JENDELA) plan.

Today, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) just announced that the free 1GB Internet data will continue until 31 July 2021. As usual, the five telco companies - Celcom, Digi, Maxis, U Mobile and Telekom Malaysia have agreed to extend the provision of this daily Internet data for education purpose.

Starting 1 April 2020, Malaysian telcos began to provide users with 1GB of data daily. Although that free data could be used for anything at the time, it only applied from 8 AM to 6 PM each day. Now, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has announced that the free 1GB will apply for the entire day.
