It seems that DBKL has recently released a statement on their Facebook page stating that motorists will not be able to pay for parking via the parking payment machines, starting from 1 October 2020. Instead, DBKL will only accept payments via apps such as EZ Smart Park, Flexiparking, Wilayah Parking, as well as M-Cash in order to pay for their parking.

E-Wallets offered by Touch ‘n Go, Grab, as well as Boost started giving out the RM30 E-Tunai Rakyat from today onwards until 14 March 2020. Malaysians who earn below RM100000 a year and are above 18 years old, will be able to claim the RM30 from one of the platforms mentioned.

Touch 'n Go is probably one of the more commonly used e-wallet this year. Its Street Parking feature can be a very useful feature, though many lamented that it could only be used in certain Kuala Lumpur and Kelantan areas. That's going to change now that the company has announced more areas under three jurisdictions.

PLUS Malaysia Berhad. (PHB) announced that they will no longer provide reload booths for Touch n’ Go at the toll plaza exit lanes starting from 5 November 2019 (what?!). In the near future, you need to check the balance of your Touch n’ Go card every time you hit the road.
