The Grab and Uber merger has been made official as Grab takes over Uber's South East Asia operations while Uber gets a 27.5% stake in Grab. In short, this means that Uber users and drivers in Malaysia will be migrated over to Grab and GrabFood will take over from Uber Eats after the Uber app shuts down on 8 April 2018 while the Uber Eats app shuts down in May. Until then, you can still use Uber Eats or call a car or drive using the Uber app, but these are the grace periods for you to make the move to Grab.

In case you haven't heard, Celcom Axiata Berhad has announced its new partnership with Uber Malaysia and this collaboration will offer every Malaysian some special benefits and offers next month. According to Zalman Aefendy Zainal Abidin, Chief Marketing Officer of Celcom, Celcom postpaid and prepaid consumers will be getting awesome price cuts and discounts as part of their loyalty program.
