    TM UniFi has announced that in conjunction with the 2019 Lunar New Year, they will be offering existing and new UniFi Basic customers an opportunity to experience unlimited quota and uncapped internet until 15 February 2019. Do take the word “uncapped” with a grain of salt and UniFi did not mention any bandwidth limitations during the promo.

    TMnet has released a statement on their Twitter account stating that there will be a slight service disruption due to a cable cut which was caused by a TNB construction at Alor Akar. Based on the statement, Alor Akar is a key landing site for internet traffic coming from Sabah and Sarawak.

    Telekom Malaysia has released a mobile app for Unifi users to check their account status, bill payments, and even get in touch with Unifi representatives through the live chat available in the mobile app. Previously all of these were only made possible through Unifi's very own web manager but with the advent of the app released, it would make account management more efficient and convenient than ever before. The app is available on the Google Play store as well as the iOS App store starting today.     A pop-up has recently appeared on Unifi’s official website that the customer is required to send in a 30 day notification prior to ending their subscription with Unifi starting August 2018. Based on the pop-up, you can give the 30 day notification either through their official websitelive chat service on their official website, on their Facebook PageTwitter, or through help@tm.com.my email address. 30 days after termination notice, customers are required to head to the nearest TMpoint nationwide to follow up with the termination process.     Unifi Basic plan throttle speeds down to 128kbps after finishing 60GB quota

    Previously we have reported that TM Unifi had announced their unifi Basic Plan which has speeds of up to 30Mbps. But there's a catch, customers who subscribe to the Basic Plan is capped at 60GB data quota, it is only available to households who have a total income of less than RM4500 and it is available exclusively on the TM Unifi's official website.

    You can pre-order the unifi Basic Plan which offers 30Mbps for RM79 a month with a 60GB data cap. However, customers are required to present a payslip to prove that their household is currently earning less than RM4500 a month or BRIM acceptance letter in order to sign up for the unifi Basic Plan. Not only that, they have to be within unifi covered areas and be at least 18 and above.

    Telekom Malaysia has also announced the Unifi Basic Plan next to the Unifi Turbo upgrade covered earlier. The Unifi Basic Plan is priced at RM79 a month for 30Mbps speed and it does not offer the usual HyppTV found in existing Unifi Subscription Plans. However, it is best to note that the Unifi Basic Plan also comes with a limited data quota of 60GB and if they were to finish their quota they are required to purchase additional quote add-ons.     On today's media briefing, Telekom Malaysia has announced the Unifi Turbo Plan and plans to upgrade existing Unifi customers up to 800Mbps at no extra cost. Not only that, customers are not required to renew their contracts as it will be a direct speed upgrade.

    Unifi has been hinting on their social media profiles that the Unifi Turbo Plan will offer 10 times increase in broadband speeds at no additional cost to existing home and business customers. There was no specifics regarding the exact speed increase but that will be known soon during a briefing held by TM next week on the 12 July 2018, which should give us a better clue as what to expect from the Unifi Turbo Plan such as the price of the plan as well as the speeds that it offers.

    Starting this month, Telekom Malaysia has announced that they will be introducing a new Unifi 30Mbps plan for less than RM100 a month aimed towards the B40 income groups of the Malaysian population. The main difference between this plan as compared to the existing Unifi plans available is the lack of an IPTV which is typically included.
