Valve’s digital game platform and store, Steam reached a new milestone recently after achieving its highest-ever number of users logged in at the same time. Specifically, Steam recorded a whopping 33675229 concurrent users on Sunday (7 January)!

Valve has announced Counter-Strike 2 (CS2), the replacement for the popular first-person shooter title Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CSGO). Available in a limited test starting today, CS2 is expected to be officially released as early as June 2023.

The Steam Deck has received a nice quality-of-life update recently which allows users to directly copy games on their PCs to the handheld. Previously, users would have to separately re-download games available on their PCs over the internet onto the Steam Deck.

Valve's video game digital distribution service Steam recorded a new milestone over the weekend after it hit over 10 million concurrent in-game players for the very first time. Specifically, 10,082,055 users were in-game concurrently on Saturday (7 January 2023).

Previously, we reported that Valve is updating the Steam Mobile app with a revamped design and new features. After being in beta for some two months, the update is now live on the full version of the app on iOS and Android.

The Valve Steam Deck has been touted as being the product to change the way we see handheld gaming consoles and indeed, it has been immensely popular since launch. In fact, the console is so popular that Valve has alluded that it will be making a next-gen version of the Steam Deck in the future.

Valve today announced that it is updating the Steam Mobile App to add new features, which include QR code sign-in, smarter notifications, an improved Library and multi-account support. Rebuilt on a new framework and a modernised design, the Steam Mobile App is now in beta and users can join the beta programme to test it.
