The vivo X5Pro was recently and officially announced with an interesting mix of tech specs and features. Going for a flat and thin design it uses a slightly rounded aluminum metal frame which looks very familiar. On one hand, the phone packs in a rather midrange 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor with 2GB of RAM, dual SIM support and 4G LTE connectivity. On the camera side, the rear camera is 13MP but the 8MP front camera has a special feature that allows it to take super-resolution interpolated shots of 32MP. Other stand-out features include the 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display with 1080 x 1920 full HD pixel resolution covered by slightly curved 2.5D glass and an eye-recognition technology that will use your iris to unlock your phone. It also has a 2300 mAh battery, Android 5.0 and Funtouch OS 3.0. No Malaysia release dates or pricing details yet but it is going for about $443 (RM1589).

Recently passing China's TENAA, the vivo X5Pro has various features and tech specs which have already been confirmed. This includes a rounded metal frame design with 2.5D curved glass on the front and back. Features that have been confirmed now include a retinal scanner and a 32MP shot using the front camera. Tech specs include a Snapdragon 615 processor, 3GB RAM, 6-inch display, 3200 - 3500 mAh battery. The retinal scanner appears to scan the iris to unlock the device but there is no news yet on how secure or how fast it might be able to do so. Hopefully the vivo X5 Pro arrives soon in Malaysia but we still have no specific Malaysia release dates or pricing details just yet.
