If you just updated your WhatsApp, you will see that there is a new Events function in the description. As the description says, simply tap the "+" button in any group chat and then choose "Event".

The first day of Ramadan is just around the corner so the celebrate the upcoming occasion, WhatsApp just announced a new sticker pack in both English and Bahasa Malaysia versions. You can download the stick pack here and here, respectively. 

Generally, we search for a specific WhatsApp chat by name or phone number. WhatsApp has announced that we can now search by date function to make it easier.

In WhatsApp's latest update, the company announces a new feature called Secret Code. This feature for Chat Lock is an additional way to protect those chats and make them harder to find if someone has access to your phone or you share a phone with someone else.

It's been almost a year since WhatsApp introduced the View Once for photos and videos. Now, the WhatsApp team is reportedly bringing back the feature for the desktop version as it was previously removed last year.

A few hours ago, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced on his Facebook page that WhatsApp Channels had surpassed 500 million monthly users. For the uninitiated, Channels is a section in the app that helps people get the updates they want from their favourite teams, organizations and people, directly on WhatsApp.

Voice chat is not something new but in this short news, WhatsApp just announced that the voice chat will be rolled out to large group chats. Large groups are referred to as chat rooms with 33 people or more.

Back in July, WhatsApp Channels was launched in Malaysia to have private broadcasts with your customers or fans. Just a few hours ago, Mark Zuckerberg announced that WhatsApp Channels will finally be rolling out globally with more new channels that people can follow. 

WhatsApp desktop has been around for quite a long time. In fact, it's been around even before 2020. Apple Mac users were left wondering if it would ever come but it's official. Mark Zuckerberg has confirmed the new WhatsApp app for Mac. 

Finally, after two months - WhatsApp is now rolling out HD Photos globally as we speak. In the next few weeks, we can also expect to see HD Videos launching alongside this new function.
