Earlier, a rumour has suggested that a few smartphone brands will be launching their first foldable smartphones in 2021 and Xiaomi is among the list. Today, a tipster has shared some latest information with us claiming that Xiaomi will indeed launch their first foldable in 2021, and the launch could happen early next year.

Yesterday, Xiaomi have launched the latest custom interface MIUI 12.5 system in Beijing, China. According to sources, this system is lighter, quicker, and more efficient by comparing to the previous system.

In the past years, we have seen some smartphone brands started to put in the effort to be attractive in the laptop market. With Xiaomi started the laptop business some time ago and still going well, it looks like the sub-brand POCO is also planning to expand their product line with laptops. It is reported that two laptop batteries that were filed under the brand POCO have appeared on the BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) website.

As we're entering 2021, many analysts and tipsters have started to reveal what we can expect from the smartphone market next year. According to a source, Google, Xiaomi, OPPO, and vivo are going to announce their own foldable smartphones in the second half of the year. This comes as a surprise knowing that we'll get a Pixel foldable from Google soon! Well, maybe not Malaysia.

Android 11 has been out for a few months now and a roadmap got released online showing us which Xiaomi phone model would be getting the software update. Although there are no dates written on the chart, we still got to know exactly which devices are or aren't getting the upgrade.

Based on a statement by gizchina, it seems that Xiaomi wants to beat Apple by selling at least 300 million smartphones in 2021. While there is no official information on whether the number is actually achievable or not, our source mentioned that several analysts believe that such a feat might not be possible in such a short time span.

As you should already know by now, Xiaomi also makes plenty of home appliances and smart devices besides smartphones. In fact, the company already have its own ecosystem that is accessible for anyone on iOS and Android. From a smart TV to electric scooters, a Xiaomi fan just did the unthinkable and bought a bunch of Mi products at a Mi store. 

Other than HUAWEI, Chinese companies like Xiaomi, vivo, OPPO have done a pretty good job maintaining their businesses. As we know, HUAWEI has had its rough moment this year and we can't deny that there were some damages done. Therefore, it has given a chance for the others to see that as an opportunity to become the top in the country. Having that said, it is reported that the other Chinese companies mentioned are building up momentum in their orders for the coming quarter.

According to a report from Reuters, India is hindering a bunch of imported goods that are built in China from a few tech companies. With that said, products including Apple's iPhone 12 series and wearables from Xiaomi and OPPO are blocked by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) from entering the country since August.
