Yesterday, we reported that YouTube could be finding more ways to make you watch more advertisements. We are talking about the missing skip button that was spotted by several users, but YouTube recently denied removing it.

Until today, YouTube is still experimenting with ways to force you to watch advertisements while streaming. We have reported the many various ways before but perhaps this is one of the eye-rolling methods, which is hiding the Skip button.

If you frequently watch YouTube videos on your desktop computer, then the annoying overlay ads covering a small portion of the video should be familiar to you. Well, even the Google-owned video platform agrees that the overlay ads are intrusive and has announced that it will be removing them beginning next month.

Just when you thought YouTube is done with two unskippable ads for the video platform, it seems that the company is bumping up to five for a foreseeable future. Do note that nothing is final as YouTube just recently started testing five unskippable ads before the video starts playing.

Google is reportedly testing ads on YouTube Shorts as a another way to help creators monetise their videos. For now, the ads on Shorts will include products like App Install and video action campaigns.

You've probably been annoyed by not one but two YouTube ads sometimes if you never subscribed to YouTube Premium. By taking one step further to persuade you to whip out your wallet, the platform might be planning to roll out a cheaper plan for those who only want to get rid of the ads.
