Models showcasing the arrival of Acer VX 15 gaming laptop, GX781 CPU, KG251Q and KG271 gaming monitors
Today, Acer Malaysia has raised the bar in affordable performance-oriented gaming devices by showcasing four products which are - Acer Aspire VX 15 gaming laptop, Aspire GX781 CPU, and two new KG series monitors KG251Q and KG271. Let’s get started with the tech-specs and features, shall we?
Aspire VX 15
Featuring the gaming trademark of aggressive red chassis and backlit keyboard, it is priced at RM4399 and it’s available at all authorized Acer resellers nationwide and major online marketplace. The first 200 customers who purchase this gaming laptop will get a special bundle with a free Steel Series Rival 100 Special Edition gaming mouse, including with a free Dota 2 in-game worth RM259.

Powered by 7th Gen Intel Core I7 HQ processor, the 15.6-inch (FHD IPS screen) gaming laptop offers a respectable performance with low battery consumption. It’s also packing the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics with GDDR5 VRAM, which is able to deliver up to 32GB/s bandwidth, and a 4GB DDR4 memory out of the box (upgradable to 32GB max). Storage-wise, it has plenty of spaces of 1TB HDD.

Aspire GX 781
Next, Acer’s gaming CPU sports an Intel Core i7-7700 processor, a 8GB DDR4 (8GB x 1, upgradable to 16GB x 2), and NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1050 graphics, which is able to display 4K2K resolution visuals and even support up to four display at once for the best gaming experience. It also houses 1TB HDD and 128GB SSD storage.

Available in all authorized Acer resellers nationwide, the price is also the same as the Aspire VX 15 of RM4399 and customers who purchase it will enjoy a 3-years local on-site warranty.
KG251Q and KG271 monitor
The KG271
Last but not least, these two products are Acer’s first gaming monitors to feature 75Hz refresh rate. It supports HDMI on FreeSync and it works with FreeSync-supporting graphics card, eliminating any screen tearing, lag and latency.
As the name suggest, the KG251Q is the smaller brother with 24.5-inch display, while the KG271 is using a 27-inch display. Both monitors run on Full High Definition 1920 x 1080 resolution and provide top quality colours with TN panel and 100 million: 1 contract ratio.

The gaming monitors also provide gamers with 1ms GTG (gray to gray) and Black Boost technology, which means it allows them to move and track in a smooth transition without any ghosting or image dragging; while the Black Boost technology provide more detail in darker environments.
Both are priced at RM659 and RM899 respectively, the former is available at all selected authorized Acer resellers nationwide, whilst the latter will only be available at the end of April 2017.
