It has been rather quiet for the ASUS Zenfone 6 despite the fact that it is currently DxOMark’s selfie king with its 48MP motorized flip camera. However, the folks at @JerryRigEverything have seen fit to put it through their usual durability tests which include scratch tests, a lighter test and bend tests. They even played around with the aforementioned motorized flip camera, a feature which most of the time is quite fragile.
Thankfully, this isn’t the case with the ZenFone 6 as it not only passed the durability tests with flying colours but the 48MP + 13MP motorized flip camera also appears to have a really strong hinge. In addition to this, the ZenFone 6 is also one of the few flagships to pack in a large 5000 mAh battery with Quick Charge 4.0 along with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset.
With the lowest 6GB RAM + 64GB storage ZenFone 6 variant coming in at 499 Euros (~RM2337), it would be great if ASUS could bring it in to Malaysia for under RM2K as European prices have generally been much higher than Malaysian prices. No Malaysia release dates or pricing details yet though, but we expect it to come soon, sometime in Q3 of 2019.
