5G Access Pass is now RM0 on Digi & XPax Postpaid 40/60 plans

Previously, we wrote about how Celcom and Digi have finally removed the 5G Booster charging fee on their platforms. However, that didn't really turn out to be the case for lower-tier plans such as Digi 40 and Xpax Postpaid 60. So over the weekend, CelcomDigi has silently removed the 5G fee on those plans.

It was first spotted by @snazzybizarre whereby his Digi 40 Postpaid now has a 5G Access Pass at RM0 on the MyDigi app. On the other hand, Digi 60 Postpaid also has the same free access, as well as Xpax Postpaid 60 and Xpax Postpaid 40. Ironically, the 5G access is only for 30 days and you will have to activate it manually if you want more.

Despite the free 5G access, not all users see it, but we believe the update is rolling out as we speak. Moreover, other legacy postpaid plans such as Digi Infinite, Digi Postpaid 58 and 80 still don't have such a thing (yet). Likely, these plans don't get the same treatment since they aren't part of the current offers by CelcomDigi.

Speaking of 5G access, we just did a survey article on CelcomDigi's mobile performance lately after their merger. According to our readers, all of them (including us) are experiencing weak mobile data performance. You can check it out while you're at it right over here
