So, tablets are still around in this saturated smartphone industry? You bet. In this article, we are going to tell you that the Huawei MediaPad M3 Lite is probably the most value-for-money tablet right now for just RM999. whereas other tablets tend to cost more than RM1k. Even though it's not so performance-ish as its predecessor, the MediaPad M3, but here are 7 reasons why you shouldn't pass up getting the tablet.

1) Compact for an 8-inch display tablet

Sure, the resolution may have gone down a little but at least it's still 1920 x 1200 resolution. Display size has shrunk too to just 8-inch but that's still more than enough for anyone who needs a tablet. Speaking being small, it still retains the same weight of 310g and measures 7.5mm thick, making it as portable as it can be for your travelling.

2) Microsoft Apps are free

Hate paying for a program that you really need? Us too. But here's something that Huawei didn't really mention - it has a Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook are pre-installed inside so that means they are for free! With that, the tablet is perfect for those who are always on-the-go using these programs. Thumbs up for that!

3) Dual SWS3.0 Harman Kardon audio speakers

The tablet isn't just for all work, but also for entertainment. The dual SWS3.0 Harman Kardon audio speakers are back to make your video and audio playback a surround sound-ish experience, this is the same audio system that we compared before back last year with the MediaPad M3 vs Apple iPad Mini 4 with the former coming out on top easily. Of course, this is best used when you have a pair of headphones.

4) 4800mAh battery!

The battery compartment is another feature that was degraded from its predecessor but don't get me wrong - 4800mAh is still a lot of battery power juice flowing inside. According to Huawei, the tablet can go on for 600 hours of standby battery life, 40 hours music playback time and 9 hours video playback time. By the way, 600 hours is the equivalent of 25 days and if you're not a heavy user, it can go on for days!

5) ClariVu eyesight protection

Nowadays, computer manufacturers are installing some eyesight filters on their monitors, especially for the gamers. The Mediapad M3 lite is no exception and Huawei has integrated a ClariVu eyesight protection for you. A feature that is often overlooked, this is a great addition for those who have a bad habit of surfing Facebook, playing games or watching videos before they call it a night (me) especially in the long run.

6) Other features - Split Screen, Twin App and calling

Here's a fun fact, the Mediapad M3 didn't have a Split Screen, Twin App and calling feature before, so this is an added bonus for the little brother. With the 8-inch display, using the Split Screen is a much welcome addition and should be a favourite for the multitaskers, no longer do you have to switch in between apps to do certain tasks. And if you want to have another account on the same app, the Twin App is there to serve your needs. You can even make calls with it, enough said.

7) That premium design

Last but not least, the Mediapad M3 Lite retains the premium design look from its predecessor, made from a metal chassis from an aerospace grade aluminium with diamond cut bezels and a curved backside. In fact, the unibody tablet looks like a smartphone that's overgrown but is still comfortable to hold. If you're wondering what's so impressive about this, remember that for using that kind of body material, it's still RM999.

So that's it, did we miss out any other features that should be on this list? Let us know in the comments below.
