We have talked about a newly discovered vulnerability that affects Android smartphones that is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processors named QuadRooter. Thankfully, the majority of the smartphones are safe thanks to Google’s Verify Apps function.

The vulnerability works by having the user installed certain malicious apps. However for those who installs just from Google Play Store, their very own Verify Apps feature, which "regularly checks activity on your device and prevents or warns you about potential harm", will protect you against any malicious app that may be related to QuadRooter.

So our advise is to forgo rooting for the time being until Google & Qualcomm have submitted a security patch to fix this problem on Android. Stay tuned to TechNave for more information.
