Handheld gaming consoles seems to be the trending topic now. Not long after ASUS confirmed that the ROG Ally would be coming soon, more have been announced by other companies. One of them is the AOKZOE A1 Pro, which is also expected to launch in May 2023.

According to Wccftech, the AOKZOE A1 Pro is the world's first gaming handheld with one of AMD's latest 4nm APU. Specifically, the Zen 4-based Ryzen 7 7840U. This APU comes with an 8-core 16-thread CPU that can clock up to 5.1GHz, plus a Radeon 780M integrated GPU with 12 Compute Units and can run up to 2200MHz. Interestingly, the recently announced AMD Z1 Extreme also has an 8-core 16-thread CPU and a 12CU iGPU. As such, we can expect them to be comparable.

Besides the APU, the AOKZOE A1 Pro sports an 8-inch Full HD IPS display. It's not a fancy AMOLED display and will only support 60Hz of refresh rate. But unless you're an FPS or racing game enthusiast, 60Hz should be good enough. You also get plenty of of up 64GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 2TB of storage, assuming you're willing to pay for the extra premium.

AOKZOE plans to launch the product on 30 April 2023 (tomorrow) via Indiegogo, and will be offering the base model at USD799 (~RM3564). For reference, the retail price is USD999 (~RM4456). So, which gaming handheld do you think is better? ROG Ally or this one? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more updates about it.
