Just three days ago, ASUS announced a new ROG Phone 5s series out of nowhere and we pretty much welcome it. Although no price and availability were announced, the series has made its way to the Taiwanese and Chinese market already so at least we have some idea of the price tags.
According to the sources, the Taiwanese market will only have two ROG Phone 5s variants whereas the latter gets five variants. As usual, the variants are based on the memory which starts from 8GB, 12GB, 16GB to 18GB of RAM. For the storage, you have your typical 128GB, 256GB and 512GB storage option.
With these tech specs, ASUS is really trying to capitalise the phones so here are the ROG Phone 5s prices for your reference below:
- 8GB + 256GB - 3999 Yuan (~RM2613)
- 12GB +128GB - 4299 Yuan (~RM2809)
- 12GB + 256GB - 4699 Yuan (~RM3070)
- 16GB + 256GB - 4999 Yuan (~RM3266)
- 18GB + 512GB - 5899 Yuan (~RM3855)
As for the ROG Phone 5s Pro, it seems that there will be one variant only which is the highest memory. The 18GB + 512GB model is priced at 8499 Yuan which is roughly around ~RM5554. Sources also say the ROG Phone 5s series will go on sale from 24 August in China.
The ROG Phone 5s series is more or less the same as the ROG Phone 5 series. The difference between them is that the former is sporting a Snapdragon 888+ chipset and up to 360Hz touch sampling rate. Moreover, the ROG Phone 5s Pro has a colour PMOLED display. Compared with the ROG Phone 5 Ultimate, its PMOLED display behind is monochrome.
