Today, ASUS's latest flagship smartphone model the ASUS Zenfone 3 (ZE552KL, ZE520KL) has won the prestigious Good Design Award for Smart Phone & Accessory Category [ASUS Zenfone3 series & Accessories].
In the industry, the Good Design Award is one of the big 3 important design awards along with iF and Reddot. Hosted by the Japan Institute for Design Promotion, a public interest incorporated foundation, its comprehensive design-promotion system design picks good design out of a variety of unfolding phenomena, and aims to enrich lives, industries, and society as a whole by highlighting and celebrating these works.
One of the highlights of the ZenFone 3, for winning the award is because of how it is encased with scratch-resistant 2.5D glass that smoothly curves on the edges, applying the same meticulous glass artistry found on premium watches. The concentric circle texture underneath the back cover and the spun-cut etchings on multiple keys represent ASUS Zen's iconic design signature. The phone's rounded metal frame delivers tactile comfort and solidity.
