While ASUS have officially announced their ASUS ZenFone 5 series with the ASUS ZenFone 5 ZE620KL, ZenFone 5Z ZS620KL and ZenFone 5 Lite ZC600KL, we managed to get some hands-on time with the ASUS ZenFone 5 and ASUS ZenFone 5 Lite. Check out the pictures and features below.
ASUS ZenFone 5 ZE620KL hands-on
Going for a metal body, the notched 6.2-inch full HD+ display of the ASUS ZenFone 5 ZE620KL is virtually identical to the ZenFone 5Z. When in landscape mode, the screen near the notch gets pushed in, leaving it looking much like any other full view display smartphone.
Yep, there's a notch at the top of that full view display
Shiny black circular design on the back just like the ASUS ZenFone 4
Refracting light into pretty patterns
Here's the silver ZenFone 5, same notch
Shiny circular back in silver
The backside follows the shiny circular design of the previous ZenFone 4 with a slightly raised camera hump on the top left corner. The power and volume rocker are located on the side. According to ASUS, the Zenfone 5Z is identical to the ZenFone 5.

ASUS ZenFone 5 Lite hands-on
One of the few quad camera smartphones around, the ASUS Zenfone 5 Lite has a 6.0-inch full view display with no notch. Again, it has a rather thin profile with chrome on the sides and while the ZenFone 5 felt somewhat slippery, the ZenFone 5 Lite had a more comfortable grip.
The ASUS ZenFone 5 Lite has dual front cameras with LED flash and a full view display, no notch though
The back is flat glass and has dual rear cameras and LED flash
The back is certainly shiny while the camera hump in the middle is a bit raised
The rear camera hump is a little raised as well but is located in the top center above the rear fingerprint sensor while the back is just shiny glass with no circular pattern. Unlike the ZenFone 5, the ZenFone 5 Lite uses a microUSB port.
