Today, Acer has officially announced two brand news Swift laptops for 2022 - the new Swift 5 and Swift 3 with 12th Gen Intel Core processors. The Swift 5 already made an appearance in January 2022 so in this article, we will be focusing more on the Swift 3 instead.
The Acer Swift 3 (SF314-512) is an all-new 14-inch laptop and like its predecessors, it continues the lineup of compact laptops for consumers. Equipped with up to the latest 12th Gen Intel Core processors and up to 2TB of SSD storage, it features a bright 16:9 QHD or FHD touch display and an FHD webcam with Acer’s TNR technology for video calls. Of course, we also expected WiFi 6E and DTS Audio.
As a compact laptop, it offers the essential I/O ports as well namely the USB Type-C, USB Type-A, and HDMI 2.1. The Swift 3 can be fast-charged, which can last up to four hours of battery life from a single 30-minute charge. Lastly, it also comes equipped with Acer’s TwinAir dual-fan cooling system. Acer said that this improved cooling system offers a 65.8% increased thermal performance of a single fan alone.
In terms of price, the Swift 3 will be available in North America in June starting at USD 849.99 (~RM3568); in EMEA in April starting at EUR 1,199 (~RM5661); and in China in April, starting at RMB 5,499 (~RM3652). Then for the Swift 5 (SF514-56T), it will be available in North America in June starting at USD 1,499 (~RM6292); in EMEA in March starting at EUR 1,799 (~RM8494); and in China in April, starting at RMB 9,999 (~RM6644).
