Are we heading towards a SIM-less era? OPPO seems to think so. With that, the OPPO Malaysia branch is currently supporting an e-SIM application called Durian Man to keep you, your friends and family in touch without needing a SIM. Furthermore, customers who sign up for the Durian Man account will also stand a chance a win attractive prizes worth RM30,000.
Available in The Mines OPPO Concept Store, SS15 Subang Jaya Concept Store and Lowyat CS! Concept Store, the promotion has already begun since 5 December and it will end on 31 December 2018. According to OPPO Malaysia, the Durian Man is a prepaid plan (although not specified on which network they are riding on) that supports both local and international data without having to purchase a traveller SIM card. However, it seems that you still need to purchase some roaming service in the app with just a few steps.

At this moment, the only OPPO devices that supports the Durian Man app are the OPPO F9 and R17 Pro, so that means it's only available on Google Play Sore too (obviously). Below are the steps to activate Durian Man prepaid plan:
- Install Durian Man via Google Play Store
- Register a Durian Man account
- Select your preferred mobile prepaid plan
- Scan Identity Card or Passport
- Make payment
- Select a preferred mobile number
- Activate and done!
