Yesterday, HTC has launched an all-new HTC U Ultra and U Play in Malaysia. Available from early March onward for RM2999 and RM1899 respectively, the two models come in different colour format as Brilliant Black, Cosmetic Pink, and Sapphire Blue (U Ultra), while the latter comes in Black Oil and Iceberg White. With the theme “It’s all about U”, the U Ultra and U Play takes personalisation to another level. For example, HTC’s revolutionary system called HTC Sense Companion, is a personal AI companion that is always learning from you through the power of machine learning such as providing smart suggestions based on a user’s lifestyle and external information, it can even recommend what you should wear for the day based on the weather or remind you to charge your device at optimal times, and recommend the perfect restaurant.
So much like Apple’s Siri and Microsoft’s Cortana, HTC U series is able to listen to your every command and allows the user to interact in the most natural way using their voice, unlocking your smart device, take or reject incoming calls, snooze or dismiss an alarm, send messages and even begin hands-free navigation.
In addition, there’s an always-on second screen at the top of the device, serving as a notification centre to give you the latest updates or convenient access to the things you use the most - like your top contacts, app shortcuts, event notifications and more
There’s also a new HTC USonic earphones, which adapt to your hearing pattern by analysing your inner ears with a sonic pulse to optimise the headset for you, as well as a huge 16MP front camera for selfie purpose.
