Now that Google has launched Android 11, brands out there have begun to create their customised versions. But before we see any of those launched, Google has more up its sleeve. The company has officially announced Android 11 Go, a cut-down version of the new OS for entry-level devices with 2GB of RAM or less.

As expected of an Android Go version, some features are not available to it. Specifically, the easy controls for smart devices are gone. In its place, Google tweaked some usability features. A new gesture navigation system has now been introduced to Android 11 Go, though it's at the expense of the standard three navigation buttons. The new system allows users to swipe the screen for easier navigation.

Besides that, Android 11 Go is expected to be 20% faster than Android 10 Go. There will also be enhanced privacy features to make it easier to control how your data is shared. For example, you can set it so that certain apps only have permission to access sensors like your microphone or camera only once. Also, apps that haven't been used in a while will have permissions reset.

For those who tend to have more simple needs and use entry-level devices, Android 11 Go should offer a much better user experience than previous Go versions. But with that said, do you use any Android Go devices? Do share your experiences with them in the comments below and stay tuned to TechNave for more news.
