Virtually identical to the Xiaomi Mi 5X, the Mi A1 is Xiaomi's first Android One phone offering a pure stock Android experience minus all the usual bloatware. This should improve performance somewhat but just like the Google Pixel, we expect it to have less customized features. The Mi A1 currently is powered by Android 7.1.1 Nougat but since it is an Android One phone, it should get the Android 8.0 Oreo update sooner than most other smartphones, but Xiaomi say we should expect it by the end of 2017.
