A lot of rumours are leaks these days, but you know when one might not be accurate when you have conflicting info. Last month, a rumour claimed that OnePlus has been working with Leica on the cameras for the OnePlus 9 series. But now another source claims that the rumour is false.

For context, the rumour originally surfaced after OnePlus CEO Pete Lau mentioned that the company would improve its cameras. He specifically mentioned that the improvements both software and hardware will be worked on, which at least hints at new camera sensors. This could be why some started claiming that Leica could be a working partner, as wild rumours tend to get people excited.

In regards to that, tech journalist and frequent leaker Max Jambor said that the rumour is false. However, he did not provide any evidence against this claim either, so it's the word of two relatively well-known leakers against each other. For now, we'll have to wait and see how OnePlus responds to these rumours.

Having said that, is there's a camera brand you'd like to see work with your favourite smartphone brand? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned to TechNave for more updates on the OnePlus 9 series.
