Anthony Loke - Electrical sockets on express buses are now banned (for now)

A few days ago, a Malaysian teenager died from an electrical shock when charging his phone on a bus. The Minister of Transport Anthony Loke ordered the Land Public Transport Agency to suspend the bus express company's operations for an JPJ investigation.

In an unusual case that we don't read every day, a special task force was sent to investigate the cause. It turns out that the electrical sockets installed on the express buses were not included as part of the inspection conducted by Puspakom and other checks.

In fact, there are no specific regulations at all for installing and checking those electrical sockets. With this, the Land Public Transport Agency will initiate a ban on the usage of electrical sockets on express buses. However, the ban is only temporary as the Ministry of Transport will review the standard operating procedures for it.

For now, it seems that bringing along a power bank is more safe for bus express passengers. Speaking of this, you can check out the new Anker power banks with up to 20,000mAh battery power (#notsponsored lol) right here while you're at it.
