Over the year, the rumoured launch window for the Apple AirPods Pro 2 changed multiple times. It went from 1H 2021 to 2022, then back to between Q4 2021 and Q1 2022. Now the same source is claiming that the launch window has been pushed further back.

According to @LeaksApplePro, the Apple AirPods Pro 2 won't be coming until Q3 2022. If this launch window is accurate, it would mean that Apple could launch it with the iPhone 14 next year. One reason for the delay could be the global chip shortage, which has affected most electronics manufacturers. It could also be because Apple is launching the AirPods 3 soon, so it wouldn't want sales to be affected.

As a reminder, it's rumoured that the AirPods Pro 2 would feature motion sensors for use in fitness tracking apps. The new TWS earbuds will allegedly deliver improved noise cancelling, ambient light sensors, and better battery life. It's also expected to retail for USD 249 (~RM1041), while the prices for the first generation model could be reduced.

To be honest, the Apple AirPods Pro 2 doesn't sound like a major upgrade at the moment. Despite that, are you looking to get the new model when it launches? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news about it.
